TMPCC SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE The Television and Motion Picture Car Club is now easily to follow and to connect to via the following Social Media sources: TMPCC'S SECOND ANNUAL CAR SHOW AT CBS STUDIO CENTER WAS A HUGE HIT ![]() Our second annual car show was held at the Studio City Fireworks Festival at CBS Studio Center on July 4th and it was a huge hit. Vehicles were on display from The Television Motion Picture Car Club and our invited guests which included: Star Car Central, The Secret Car Club, Picture Car Warehouse, Reus Audio and the Nitro Pirate Funny Car Team. Some of the vehicles on display included original and tribute vehicles from television and motion pictures. TMPCC and SCC members brought them out in droves, like Tom's 1966 Batmobile, Paul's Back to the Future DeLorean, Richard's Shelby GT500 Mustang KITT from Knight Rider, Nate's A-Team Van, Charlie's Bullitt Mustang, Sue's Get Smart car, Lou's Starsky and Hutch Torino, Tony's Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am, Mike's original Vanishing Point Challenger, Oscar's Magnum PI Ferrari and a contingent of KITT Trans Am's from The Knights of the West Coast. Picture Car Warehouse brought the Cadillac Escalade from Zombiland, Don Draper's Cadillac from the AMC hit show Mad Men, the hot rod from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the black 1958 Cadillac "drifting on the salt flats car" from the now famous Bridgestone commercial and many more. We had something for everyone, including Shelby Cobra's, Shelby Mustangs, a 2011 Audi R8 Spyder convertible, Ariel Atom, Cadillac XLR, 1952 Ford, 1957 Porsche Speedster, a Tom McBurnie Porsche (which Tom trailered to the event) a 1969 Boss 302, a BMW Isetta dressed up like a European Police Car, a 4x4 Corvette, 2008 Nismo Fairlady Z, a Ferrari California with a Reus Audio System, and many more incredible vehicles.
Also in attendance was the Nitro Pirate Corvette Funny Car Team, headed up by legendary engine builder Les Leggitt. Thanks to the support of Pure Vision and Clean Boost Racing Oils, NHRA Heritage Series Nostalgia Fuel Funny Car Champion Garrett Bateman crawled into the cockpit at 8:30PM and we fired up the car for the assembled masses. When they were done, cheers went up from the crowd. You can see and hear the funny car on our Past Events page. Just click on the link and it will take you to our Facebook page featuring some videos and pictures of the cars at the event. We are still loading up more videos and still pictures, so check the page regularly for further uploads. Our raffle featured autographed John Force and Ashley Force racing memorabilia, Morey Cellars Wines, Chuck Mason's Wet Look Detailing Products, a gift basket from CBS containing some great CBS Studio Center items, and some Pixar Cars 2 items for the boys and girls. THE FIREBALL RUN ADVENTURALLY SOUTHERN EXCURSION 2011 Team "Raptor" Sponsorship Opportunity
Ari Bayzid, Star Car Central member and TMPCC Executive Committee member Peter Corel welcome all television and motion picture studios, corporations and business professionals to sponsor Team "Raptor" for the 2011 Fireball Run Adventurally (Adventure Rally). The Team will be competing against NASCAR Driver Geoff Bodine, Shuttle Astronaut Winston Scott and many other personalities. This is a unique opportunity to promote your business in a nationwide event, for brand recognition and customer awareness through an extreme but charitable event. All sponsors will be mentioned at the numerous television interviews which will air at the local and national level. Other media exposure includes: print media, Facebook, YouTube and other social media outlets, not to mention DVD sales of the event, as well as countless photographs and videos taken by your potential consumers. Major networks have shown extraordinary interest in producing the event as a reality TV show, but no timeline for production has been given as yet. The Fireball Run Adventurally is one of America's most popular motoring events, also known as "The Race to Recover America's Missing Children". This event is the largest awareness campaign in the country which has aided in the recovery of 35 missing children. In 2009 the Fireball Run became an inspiring documentary movie and now all Fireball Run events are filmed for all to enjoy. The competition is intense, the characters are real, and their message will inspire you. "This isn't reality TV, This IS REALITY!" The Fireball Run Adventurally is based on the The Fireball Run Transcontinental Rally, which was a surreal, if not out and out wacky automobile road rally. Unable to find a word that could accurately describe this city-interactive, character driven rally, we decided to create our own word, and in 2010 "Transcontinental" was replaced with "Adventurally". 2010 POST EVENT FACTS:
This year, The Fireball Run Adventurally will start in Melbourne, Florida on September 23rd and will span over 2500 miles, 15 cities, 8 days to finish in Gulfport, Mississippi on October 1st. INTRODUCING TEAM "RAPTOR" TMPCC Executive Committee member Peter Corel was asked if he would participate as a co-driver and he enthusiastically accepted. Ari and Peter have known each other for over a year and are both commited to help the cause.... and to have fun at this event. Peter helped Team Time Car in 2010 via email and text to find clues during the race. This year he can prove his talents in action at the actual event. For detailed sponsorship information about Team Raptor (this is a Team sponsorship only) please contact Peter Corel at corelp1@yahoo.com.
