The Television Motion Picture Car Club began as an idea from the mind of Ken Latka, a Supervisor at CBS Television City. Ken realized that after 100 years of motion pictures and more than 60 years of television, the entertainment industry never had a car club, so on July 3, 2009 he decided it was finally time to start one. On July 7, 2009, with the addition of Harvey Berger (the club's first Vice President), Ken and Harvey came up with a name for the club, set up an internet domain at www.tmpcc.org and The Television, Motion Picture Car Club was born. Timothy Wong came onboard a few days later as the club's first Membership Director. These three men formed the foundation of the club during its first year of operation. From the start, TMPCC was structured to be a club where those in front of the camera and those behind the scenes could get together and enjoy their passion for the automobile (without the paparazzi bothering our more recognizable members). Because of this, our private events are never listed in the public domain. All private event notifications are forwarded to our members via email. However, we do host or attend various public events, like our Annual Car Show, which is held in conjunction with the Fireworks Festival at CBS Studio Center in Studio City, California every July 4th. This is a fun event for the entire family and it also benefits local charities. There is food, live entertainment, our car show and a fantastic fireworks display at the end of the day. As the Television Motion Picture Car Club continues to grow, our Executive Committee is committed to making TMPCC one of the premiere car club's in the nation. With that said, we are proud to introduce the TMPCC Executive Committee for 2012.

Production house in Chicago, where he edited shows and commercials. A few years later he was hired as an editor at an NBC station in Chicago.
In 1985, Ken accepted a job offer from CBS Television City in Hollywood. Since being hired at CBS, he has worked on dozens of shows,

, the mini-series Lonesome Dove and many more.
In 2007, Ken became a Supervisor in the Videotape and Post Production Department. He's responsible for overseeing the crews that format the prime time
shows for the CBS and CW Television Networks. He also oversees the CBS tape crews assigned to shows shot at TV City for other networks, like:
American Idol, America's Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The X Factor and several others.
Ken has been a gear head since his youth and has owned such cars as a 1968 Mustang with a NASCAR race engine, a 1968 Nova SS, a Buick Grand National,

Timothy has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He worked as an engineer in Sony's broadcast division from 2004 to 2007,
then joined the staff at CBS Television City in 2008. Timothy is currently an engineer for CBS and is responsible for designing systems so the CBS
and CW Networks can get their programming on the air. He started tuning cars in 1998. The first car he modified was a 1995 Cirrus LXI with a
Mitsubishi 2.5L engine. His second vehicle was a 2000 Ford Mustang with a Tein Flex suspension, custom exhaust, performance ECU, ground effects kit,
cold air intake, custom wheels, adjustable GT spoiler, etc. When he wasn't racing the Mustang, he displayed it at shows like Hot Import Nights and
Import Showoff. The third vehicle he modified was a Skyline 350GT, complete with a Tein sport suspension, NRG strut bar, Nismo-R cold air intake,
19" wheels, Nismo graphics and carbon fiber air inlets. Timothy was one of the first people to apply import tuner styling to American cars.
He designs cars with his "less is more" philosophy, but even his minor changes can have a dramatic effect on the overall appearance of a vehicle.
Timothy currently owns a 2009 Nismo Fairlady Z34, which is a street legal factory tuned track car. Only 519 units of this vehicle were manufactured
in 2009, so it one of those very rare cars you'll get to see at our events.

We are determined to make TMPCC one of the premiere clubs in the nation and we urge our members to get involved. Do you have a specific skillset? Are you willing to help us make the club even better? Then we hope you will step forward and let us know. Even if you don't want to be a club officer, remember that we can always use your assistance at our events, especially at our annual car show on July 4th. So if you'd like to do more than just participate, and you'd like to help make our events even more memorable, please write TMPCC President Ken Latka at TMPCC@TMPCC.ORG |
